A no wind weekend but lovely warm, sunny weather so it was time to get out on the bikes :) Picnic packed to start along the prom to the beach at the River Deben entrance and collect a little coal before heading out on the river path stopping to chat to the old boy birdwatcher out on his electric bike - not many birds about and the purple heron has disappeared :( At Kings Fleet we stop on one of the fishing platforms for our picnic and a read - loads of fish and dragon flies:) Mag then returns to Felixstowe doing the 10 mile route as she is not feeling a 100% :( while I continue to Levington turning right at the church to the creek and onto the marina stopping to watch the egret feed and a large ship head up to Ipswich. I take the River Orwell path past Trimley Marshes, spotting a seal then through the docks and home - nice day, England trash Australia to win the Ashes while poor old Ipswich throw away a 2 goal lead to draw in injury time !!!
